Decluttering Commitment for 2011 - January

Amy from The Finer Things in Life has passed on the gauntlet of the decluttering linky to "Nony the Slob" of A Slob Comes Clean.

Thanks for hosting this year Nony and well done for all your decluttering this month!

Go here to link up or just go read up to see how everyone else did this month with their own decluttering goals.

My goal has had to be upped since last year's goal to declutter 1095 things (an average of three things per day) was met and since I did so darn much this month!

This year my aim is: To Declutter 1825 Things in 365 Days, an average of five things a day!

My house is NOT too small, it does not NOT have inadequate storage only TOO MUCH STUFF!

I realise no one will want to read my way too detailed list - but the details are for me - they are a big part of the letting go process.
Here are my January listings (feel free to skip to the end):

January Average = Just over 21-and-a-quarter things/day

*659 Down, 1166 to Go!*

Whew I decluttered a LOT this month, especially lots of emotionally draining, drag-me-down STUFF!

I'm finally starting to clear the years of clutter - the piles of theatre programmes, magazines I'll never re-read, university files and my thesis which remind me of a very emotionally bad time in my life. I'm getting rid of the crud, the gunge and this year I will find the space in my HUGE for only two people apartment.

You never know I might be able to see enough of my apartment to clean it soon too!

Hope youse (Norn/Northern Irish for you plural) were able to make a good start on your decluttering this month too!

Gx

All I can say is, "Wow!"

You have really done so much this month! And I love what you said about your home not being too small. I have discovered this as well. Clutter causes me to waste so much of the space in my home!

Great job! And thanks for linking up!

Wow, awesome! I just did a donation drop-off last week (my first of the year), so lately I've been very interested in seeing who else is donating and decluttering too. It makes me feel sort of blessed to have so much that I actually feel the need to GET RID OF stuff, know what I mean?

Wow - that's a great job.
I've got a much lower target but I'm secretly hoping to pass that target ;)
